Trecie D. Bolton is an author, teacher, and builder. As founder and CEO of Empowered
to Restore Ministries, Intl (ETR), she leads a humanitarian nonprofit dedicated to
clean water, vocational training, education, and healthcare in underserved communities
around the world. She and her husband lead a ministry together in Des Moines, Iowa.
Her writing grows out of the same calling as her ministry work: restoring what has been
broken and building what God has shown her. Through books like
Deliverance Jesus’ Way,
Bathsheba: The Story Behind the Proverb 31 Woman,
She Built It...Sheerah: When God Calls a Woman to Build, and
Behind the Bush, Miriam: The Woman Behind Moses,
she brings the stories of Scripture’s women into sharp, personal focus, drawing out
the lessons of calling, restoration, and legacy that speak directly to readers today.
Trecie believes Scripture has the final word on who God calls and how He uses them.
Her teaching and writing consistently return to that conviction, inviting readers,
especially women who have wondered whether their story disqualifies them, to see
themselves in the women of the Bible and to trust that God is still building through them.
Core Conviction
“Scripture has the final word on who God calls and how He uses them.
Broken foundations are never beyond repair.”
